Augmentation System

Augmenting adds random stats to a weapon, which depend on the Life Stone used. In Ashenvale each stone rolls its own roulettes: the better the stone, the more lines and the higher the values. What rolls stays fixed on the weapon until the augment is removed.

It is done at any Blacksmith with the Augment an item option, for example Pushkin in Giran.

Blacksmith Pushkin's menu with the Augment an item and Remove the augment options

In the window you place the weapon, the Life Stone and the gemstones that stone asks for, and press Augment.

Requirements:

  • Character level 46 or higher.
  • A D to S84 grade weapon that is not a hero weapon and has no augment yet.
  • The Life Stone and the amount of gemstones in the table below.

Every augment rolls three roulettes, one after the other, and adds up everything that comes out:

  1. Basic stats: always roll. How many lines depends on the stone.
  2. Extra stats: criticals, heals, resistances, PvP and PvE, lethal blow, states, weapons.
  3. Attributes: STR, CON, DEX, INT, WIT or MEN, +1 each. A separate roulette, with a low chance to roll.

The same line never repeats on a weapon. Each value rolls at random between the minimum and the maximum shown in the table, every number in the range equally likely. The Chance column is each line’s chance on every roll of its roulette.

The weapon’s tooltip shows everything that rolled, under Augmentation Effects, in the game’s language. Each roulette has its colour: basic stats in amber, extras in blue and attributes in purple.

The weapon also glows, and the glow depends on how many lines rolled and how many attributes: a short augment does not glow, and a complete one reaches the strongest glow.

With the weapon enchanted to +4 or more, the game adds its own augment and enchant effect, which grows with the enchant level.

At the same Blacksmith, with Remove the augment, paying the adena in the table above. Every augment stat is lost and the weapon can be augmented again.

While it carries an augment, the weapon cannot be traded, dropped, sold or put in a private store. It can be kept in the private warehouse.
