Olympiad
The Ashenvale Olympiad does not use the classic point system: your points are your ELO rating, and matchmaking looks for rivals of your level instead of drawing at random.

When it is played
Section titled “When it is played”- Matches run on Fridays and Saturdays, starting at 21:00 hs (Argentina time, GMT-3).
- Each session lasts 3 h. Registration closes 10 min before the end so ongoing fights can finish.
- The hero period closes on Sundays at 12:00 hs: new heroes are chosen there and the previous hero status is lost.
- Points reset each period: everyone starts again at 1500.
What you need to enter
Section titled “What you need to enter”- Entry: Olympiad Ticket, which lasts 4 hours and is obtained with Event Coins. It is not consumed on registration: a single one covers the whole window it lasts.
- Level: the minimum is defined by the Cap Level system, so it follows the server’s current stage instead of being a fixed number.
- Minimum sign-ups for fights to start: 10 for class matches and 9 for non-class ones.
- Maximum fights per period: 45.
- Each fight lasts 4 min.
Olympiad services (registering, watching fights and claiming rewards) only work from the Aden NPCs. Stats and the hero ranking can be checked from anywhere.
How scoring works: ELO
Section titled “How scoring works: ELO”Your Olympiad points are an ELO rating. You do not gain a fixed amount for winning: you gain according to how strong the rival was.
- Everyone starts the period at 1500 points.
- Winning gives more the higher the rival is compared to you. Beating someone at your same rating adds about half the K factor (32); beating someone far below adds little, with a floor of 1 point.
- Losing drops you by the same difference, but you get 1 fixed point for participating, so the real drop is smaller. Points never go below 1.
- Drawing produces a small adjustment that only moves if the ratings differed. A draw counts as a played fight but not as a win or a loss.
- Disconnecting or crashing during the fight is penalized as a loss against a 1500 rival.
After 10 played fights you already have a tier, and you see it at the Olympiad Manager:
| Tier | From |
|---|---|
| 1200 | |
| 1320 | |
| 1440 | |
| 1560 | |
| 1680 |
Below Bronze you appear as Unranked. The tier is symbolic: it changes neither fight rules nor rewards.
How you get matched
Section titled “How you get matched”- There is no fixed start time: the system checks every 60 seconds whether there are enough people and builds the fights. You register whenever you want.
- It looks for rivals within 400 points of your rating. If nobody is in that range, it matches anyway.
- It avoids matching you with people from your clan or alliance. It avoids repeating rivals among the last 5 different ones you faced in the cycle. Both are preferences, not blocks: if there is no other option, the fight happens anyway.
- Each fight teleports you to a random arena among several, not always the same stadium.

Rewards and heroes
Section titled “Rewards and heroes”- To claim a reward you need 20 fights in the period and at least 2 wins.
- Besides the per-class heroes, the top 5 of the period receive a separate distinction.
Everything is collected at the Monument of Heroes, which only shows the buttons for what you qualify for.
If you are a hero
Section titled “If you are a hero”Besides the circlet and the cloak, you get the hero dressme and one Infinity weapon of your choice, unlocked from cycle 9. There is one per weapon type:
The Infinity passive
Section titled “The Infinity passive”- The passive skill on every Infinity weapon is the following:
Max HP +10%
Max MP +10%
Max CP +10%
P. Atk. +10%
Atk. Speed +5%
M. Atk. +10%
Casting Spd. +5%
PvP Damage +5% - Infinity weapons have the same P. Atk. and M. Atk. as a Dynasty +0 weapon.
Rank 2 and 3
Section titled “Rank 2 and 3”The 2nd and 3rd places of the overall table take the Glorious Cloak. It is not one player each: they are awarded to a percentage of the table, a small group for 2nd and a larger one for 3rd.
The Olympiad Operator shop
Section titled “The Olympiad Operator shop”Fighting also drops
Mark of Battle , traded at the Olympiad Operator for things you will not find elsewhere. Paid with marks plus adena:
- Hero’s Talisman — Attack and Hero’s Talisman — Defense (30 days)
- Talisman Crystal and Talisman of Battle — Liberate
- Sealed Rune — Stage 1 and Box of books
- Ancient Book: Divine Inspiration, both versions
- Enchant scrolls for weapon and armour, grades A and B
- Life and Mind elixirs, Greater Quick Healing Potion, Superspeed Potion
- XP/SP Scroll and Clan Reputation Score (1 day)
You do not need to be a hero or reach the podium: just collect marks by fighting.
Rankings
Section titled “Rankings”There are three different rankings, best not to mix them up:
| Ranking | Where to see it | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| Personal tier (ELO) | At the Olympiad Manager in Aden | Your individual rating. The one from the table above: Bronze to Diamond |
| Class ranking | In game, when fighting for hero | Your position within your profession. The first of each class keeps the hero when the period closes |
| Super Hero ranking | Community Board | The 5 heroes with the most points of the period, regardless of profession |
The class ranking is the one that defines heroes: when the period closes, the top scorer of each profession takes the hero status. You can see where you ended within your class.
The Super Hero ranking is built afterwards, on top of the previous one: among all who became heroes, the 5 with the most points — regardless of class — receive the Heroic Rage skill. Detailed in Super Hero.
Brawl Olympiad
Section titled “Brawl Olympiad”The Olympiad has two modes. Normal is the usual one: everyone fights with their best gear. Brawl is the same Olympiad (registration, ELO, rewards and heroes work the same), but adds gear rules that level the fight: a maximum grade, an enchant cap, capped levels and sometimes banned items. Whoever plays best with what that week allows wins.
How it alternates with Normal
Section titled “How it alternates with Normal”The mode is decided per hero period, which is one week: the period closes on Sundays at 12:00, and right then, after heroes are chosen, the mode of the following week is rolled. Matches are on Fridays and Saturdays from 21:00, so there are always several days to prepare legal gear. If it comes out Brawl, the rules apply to every match day of that week.
Right now the order strictly alternates: one week Normal, the next Brawl, and so on. It is predictable on purpose, so gear can be planned:
| Week | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mode | Normal | Brawl | Normal | Brawl | Normal | Brawl |
- The first week after the system is turned on is always Normal, so nobody runs into restrictions without warning.
- If the system is turned off for a while, it resumes where it left off instead of starting over.
When a Brawl is rolled it is announced on the server with its rules. A Normal week is not announced.
To check which mode is on, talk to the Monument of Heroes in Aden and choose Olympiad Modes. It opens the current period window, with the mode (Normal or Brawl) and, if it is Brawl, every rule that applies. From there, Previous period shows last week’s rules and Variants Help explains every possible variant.

How it can vary: the presets
Section titled “How it can vary: the presets”A Brawl does not mix loose rules: it picks one preset at random among the enabled ones and applies all of its rules together. Whatever the preset does not mention is not restricted. If the roll repeats the preset of the previous Brawl, it is rolled once more, so two Brawls in a row rarely share a preset.
These are the presets the server has today:
| Preset | Max grade | Max enchant | Banned | Stats level | Skills level | Elemental evolution |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brawl grade D | D | +20 | Power/Noble/Bright Talisman | 76 | 76 | 0 (no bonus) |
| Brawl grade C | C | +16 | Noble/Bright Talisman | 76 | 76 | 1 |
| Brawl grade B | B | +12 | Epic Jewellery / Bright Talisman | 80 | 80 | 2 |
| Brawl grade A | A | +10 | — | 80 | 80 | 2 |
| Brawl grade S | S | +6 | — | 84 | 84 | 3 |
What each rule limits:
| Rule | What it limits |
|---|---|
| Max grade | The highest weapon and armor grade you can equip. Ungraded items (talismans, most jewels) always pass |
| Max enchant | The enchant that counts on weapon, armor and jewels. Nothing is unequipped: your item stays as it is and counts up to that cap in the match |
| Banned | A family of items (for example epic jewels or certain talismans) or skills that cannot be used in the match |
| Stats level | The level used for HP, MP, CP and combat formulas. Your real level does not change |
| Skills level | Your skills drop to what a character of that level would know, or are removed if not learnable yet. They are back to yours afterwards |
| Elemental evolution | The highest Elemental Spirit evolution stage (0 to 3). At 0 there is no evolution bonus |
What happens when you enter a match
Section titled “What happens when you enter a match”- Gear that breaks the rules cannot be equipped while in Olympiad mode, and if you are wearing it, it is unequipped automatically when you enter the stadium.
- The enchant cap and the level caps only apply during the match: nothing changes on your character or your items.
- It is worth putting together a legal set before match day, especially for the low-grade presets.
