Subclass System

Information and guide for subclass certification skills. You can learn new skills on your main class depending on the subclasses you have.

The requirement for the first sub is being level 66 and 10kk Adena. To take the next ones you must have the previous sub at third class, and each one unlocks on its date: the 2nd subclass on 2, 10/06/2026 20:00, 3, 10/07/2026 20:00 hs and the 3rd on 2, 10/06/2026 20:00, 3, 10/07/2026 20:00 hs (Argentina time).

Subclasses level up to level 80.

The subclass certifications needed to learn these skills can be acquired from the community board (alt+b)

To acquire certifications, you must first reach third profession with each subclass. Certifications unlock when the server reaches the level 80 stage.

There is a maximum of 3 subclasses per character.

Each subclass learns 2 Emergent Skills and 1 Class Specific or Master.

The different certifications are:

  • Emergent skill certificate
  • Another Emergent skill certificate
  • Finally you choose between a Class-Specific or a Master skill certificate

Removing a subclass to take a new one will not delete the subclass skills you already learned, but you will not be able to learn additional skills from your new subclass.

You can only remove all sub skills of all subs on your main class. This is done by paying 10.000.000 Adena in the community board. You cannot pick which sub skills to remove — it deletes them all.

Subclasses are broadly classified as Warrior, Rogue, Knight, Summoner, Wizard, Healer and Enchanter. The Class-Specific subclass skills available to you through certification depend on your subclasses’ categories, as follows:

  • Warrior: Warlord, Gladiator, Destroyer, Tyrant, Bounty Hunter
  • Rogue: Hawkeye, Silver Ranger, Phantom Ranger, Treasure Hunter, Plainswalker, Abyss Walker
  • Knight: Paladin, Dark Avenger, Temple Knight, Shillien Knight
  • Summoner: Warlock, Elemental Summoner, Phantom Summoner
  • Wizard: Sorcerer, Necromancer, Spellsinger, Spellhowler
  • Healer: Bishop, Elven Elder, Shillien Elder
  • Enchanter: Prophet, Swordsinger, Bladedancer, Warcryer, Overlord

These skills are available regardless of the category your subclass belongs to.

These skills stack, up to level 6 if you choose to learn the same skill with the certificates of each of your 3 subclasses. For example, you get 6 Emergent Skill certificates from all your subs and use them all to learn the Physical Defense skill: you end up with level 6 Physical Defense.

These skills are available regardless of the category your subclass belongs to.

  • If your main class is an elemental mage, you cannot take a sub of another elemental mage. You could take Necromancer.
  • If your main class is a tank, you cannot take a tank sub.
  • Dark elves cannot use light elf subs.
  • If your main class is a summoner, you cannot take a summoner sub.
  • If you are a dagger, you cannot take a dagger sub.
  • If you are an archer, you cannot take an archer sub.
  • If you are a Prophet you cannot switch to Warcryer and vice versa.
  • The Overlord and Warsmith professions are disabled.

To activate the subclass you simply need to be level 66, have 10kk Adena and go to the Grand Master of the class you want to take, in any town.

Once they are activated, there are two ways to move from one to another: from the character’s own window, or by going to the usual NPC.

Character status window with the subclass switching buttons
From the status window. Top right there is one button per class: the main and the subs. One click and you are done.
Grand Master dialogue for changing subclass
From the Grand Master. The one for the class you want, in any town. To go back to your main, the one for your main class.

Switching from the status window has its rules:

  • It only works in a peace zone.
  • Not in combat.
  • Not in the Olympiad.
  • You have to wait 5 seconds between one switch and the next.

Certifications: how you earn them and how you spend them

Section titled “Certifications: how you earn them and how you spend them”

Certifications are the points a character uses to learn subclass skills on their main class. They are managed from the community (alt+b), under “Subclass Skill Certification”.

Subclass Skill Certification option in the community

Every subclass that reaches third profession hands over:

  • 2 Emergent Ability certifications
  • 1 certification to spend on a Master Ability or on a Class Specific from that subclass’s category

With all three subclasses at third profession that is 6 Emergent and 3 Master/Class Specific. That is the ceiling: there is no way to get more.

Certification panel with every skill available to learn
With certifications unspent, every skill you can reach shows up. The boxes below are what you have already learned.

Here is the part that confuses people most: several of these skills have more than one level, and each level costs a separate certification.

The four Emergent skills (Attack, Defense, Empower and M. Def.) go up to level 6, and Master Defense and Master M. Def. up to level 3. Taking one of those from Lv.1 to Lv.2 consumes a second certification, exactly as if you had learned a brand new skill.

Certification panel with two skills learned and one offering a level up
With two learned, the panel offers Attack Lv.1 → 2: taking it spends another of the six Emergent ones.

So the real decision is this one: concentrate your certifications on a few skills raised in level, or spread them across more different skills at Lv.1. You cannot have both.

Certification panel with nothing available, everything spent and some at level 2
Everything spent: at the top it says No skills available and below sit the seven, with Attack and Defense at Lv.2 — those two extra levels came from not learning two other skills.

  • Of the Class Specific skills you can only learn one per category: taking one makes the other two in that group disappear from the list.
  • The Master Attack, Empower, Casting and Focus skills have a single level: you learn them and that is that.
  • To change anything you have to use Reset all Skills, which costs 10.000.000 Adena and wipes everything: the certifications are dealt out again from scratch. You cannot reset a single skill.

A subclass cannot play olympiad.

A subclass cannot use Switch Main Class. Using the Switch Main Class method on your main character deletes all subs and learned skills.

A subclass cannot use sellchar.

A subclass cannot use the Lorenzo system.

Subs have a rate modifier: leveling them is 15% harder than a main character (applies to XP and SP).

If you want to change a subclass, go to the Grand Master of the sub you want to take, press cancel, choose the class you want to cancel, and then pick the profession you want to be.
