Security system

Tip

We have a 2-factor code system tied directly to the email of whoever created the account. It is always worth creating accounts with valid, secure email addresses: it matters a great deal for keeping an account as safe as possible.

Caution

There is a .lock system for protecting accounts when you lend them out — it does not mean removing items becomes 100% impossible, but it makes it much harder. We recommend always using this system before lending an account and, if you lend it often, changing the password at least once a week.

Log review service

If an account is compromised anyway, you can request our log review service. It is not free, since we spend a long time going line by line through what happened on each account: the price is 250 Ashenvale Coins per character, and it guarantees a permanent ban for whoever removed items from the accounts. On top of that, if we manage to find the items in one of the thief’s accounts (or in one they have access to), those can be returned; but if the report took too long and the items are already out in the market — where they may have been bought or traded legitimately — they may be lost (we do not summon items). To request this service you need to contact Jorah; the service is not immediate, it can take days, and you will be asked to fill in a form so we have as much information as possible. The system is valid if the report is made within 15 days; past those 15 days we will no longer step in.

Note

We always leave a door open to resolve this kind of problem in the best way possible. Many times the parties have talked it over and reached an agreement.
